Christmas card exchange? If anyone else wants a card, pm me. ^_^
Also, if you're wondering what I might like for Christmas, I wouldn't turn this fellow down.
Don't get too excited, according to the website, they're all sold out. >_< And even if they were available? $180. Um. I love Snape, but for around $200? (I'm sure shipping would be hefty) So maybe not. *sighs* I'll stick to dvds.

These promo pics for DH amuse me. Everyone else's names remain the same, no changes- but for some reason, Snape is listed as 'Severus Rogue', lolwhut?
(Keep in mind that I have never studied French in my life) I'm gonna hazard a guess that says he 'gives important information to Voldemort concerning the allies and locations of Harry Potter'? And I wonder if 'Rogue' means spy or something?

OMG, the
Deathly Hallows soundtrack! I don't usually get excited over soundtracks, but this one is just divine! My fave has to be Snape to Malfoy Manor, it's just so exciting and badass and makes me all jittery with anticipation. Especially when I listen to it while watching this gif.
Other tracks:
Ron Leaves- it unexpectedly makes me feel really lonely and heartbroken, whoa, that music's good at eliciting properly angsty emotions! (oh, god, when the violins start in...*wibbles*)
Hermione's Parents- hmm. I really hate what she does, so I'm not liking that this music seems all woeful and self-sacrificial when it's what I see as an unacceptable violation, but hey.
Sky Battle- gosh, it gets me really bouncy and like, wanting to punch people and run around crazily, lol. Epic!
Captured and Tortured- HOLY CRAP. This sends chills up and down my spine, when the drumming first started, I just jolted a bit and it's so uneasy and tense and just...really appropriate and freaky and scary. It makes me want to scream from the tension.
Godric's Hollow Graveyard- interesting. I thought it'd be super angsty, and while it is a little sad, it's still kind of...hopeful? I guess because Hermione's there with Harry, offering her support, and they're just holding each other, so yes, I feel a bit wibbly but it makes me want to hug someone really tight.
Harry and Ginny/Ron's Speech- look, I don't like either couple, but both these tracks make me kinda wistful and sentimental. (although if the first is playing while Harry's
zipping up Ginny's dress, I'm gonna die laughing)

And for something aside from Harry Potter...
It stars Mark Valley, the dude who played John in Fringe- a handsome, credible action star and a dab hand with the wise-cracks- and CHI MCBRIDE, YO. \o/
Chance is suave and amazingly capable and cool under pressure. He gets into dangerous situations against impossible odds in every ep and always walks away, mostly unscathed, with his goal achieved. And it’s so well-scripted and Mark Valley’s so convincingly athletic and accomplished that you really buy it.
Chi McBride is basically the same character as in Pushing Daisies, the practical private investigator type who uses the hero’s special talents to make a profit. He’s Chance’s agent and partner in a similar same capacity as his PD character did with Ned. Only they’re facing crime cartels and international spies and assassins, lol, so it’s on a larger, more explosive scale than in Ned’s home town.
This show is unique in the sense that it won me over, despite having no regular female chicks [at least, not for the first season], it stars three men- and yet I totally love it. Usually, my criteria for getting hooked on a show is a) strong female character, and b) a viable ship. This has neither, and that’s still okay! Because the guys ROCK HARDCORE.
Chi McBride. Damn, but I love this man. He’s just a gigantic teddy bear, I just want to squish him so hard! He’s so damn adorable! He’s always playing the long-suffering off-sider who tries to keep the hero in line and usually isn’t too successful and is resigned to being along for damage control, lol.
Chance: Checking up on me?
Winston: [walks over to the dog pointedly] I could care less about you. Who do you think’s been feeding that beast while you’ve been laid up?
C: I figured he’d finally got hold of the mailman and been eating him. Lydecker sent payment.
W: Oh! So…[eagerly rifles through box] Whisky?
C: It’s a 25 year-old bottle, that’s $900 a pop.
W: You know when I suggested that we could keep transactions quiet by bartering instead of cash, I assumed you knew I meant bartering for things of significant value.
C: That stuff’s not easy to come by. Hold onto it for ten years and it’ll be worth ten times as much.
W: So it’s an investment?
C: Exactly.
W: Hmm. You know, a guy blows up the building you’re standing in, you don’t think him a long-term investor.
I feel bad for Winston, actually, ‘coz he risks his ass for Chance all the time and yet the rewards are minimal. Chase accepts bottles of brandy or sentimental yet invaluable tokens of gratitude from their clients, and I wanna hug Winston when he gets all frustrated and grumpy about how they gonna pay electricity bills and all that.
At least in Leverage, they made millions in the very first ep, so they really didn’t have to work ever again, but that would be boring. So their missions are to use their talents and for the thrill of the hunt as they fleece unsuspecting bad guys. But here, they really do need the money, and I’m always so irked by Chance not taking a reasonable fee for his work!
Also, Guerera! Holy crap, this guy is fierce!
C: Let’s bring Guerera in on this.
W: Oh, sure, why not? *pause* Oh, whoa, wait a minute now, you’re not serious, are you?
C: No one handles this corporate crap like he does.
W: Do you really think we can trust that animal?
C: Sure. As long as we pay him on time.
When we first meet him, he’s this small, mild-mannered, nondescript man. He looks like a pushover, at least, to the two thugs preparing to take him out to the alley and bash him up. But that innocuous exterior belies the cold, ruthless streak within.
G: I gotta warn you guys, if this gets violent, I’m gonna fight back.
Thug #1: [laughs] You think you’re gonna fight back?
G: All right, maybe fight back’s a little misleading. I’ll take the beating, because that’s all you two amateurs are cleared to do. And then one night soon, I’m gonna break into your houses and kill each of you in your sleep. Probably start with you, Alfredo. That way, Steven here can have a few extra days with Marla and the girls. It’s only fair.
Thug #1: How do you know our names?
G: Your employer keeps sensitive information on a drive he thinks is secure. It isn’t.
BADASS. And the two guys exchange nervous glances, freaked out at him knowing about their names and families, and then get the hell out of there!
He’s like the dark side of Hardison! He’s got Hardison’s hacking skillz coupled with Elliot’s cold-blooded manner of dealing with threats. Plus, Parker’s way of getting into secure places and freaking people out when he turns up where he doesn’t expect them!
Every episode, he just impresses me more and more, he’s always so calm and easygoing in conversation, such a tame figure, but then when things get messy, you can see he’s a tiger underneath, he’s just ferocious and willing to get his hands dirty to get the job done.
The rivalry between him and Winston.
G: Hey, dude.
W: Breaking-and-entering is a crime, y’know.
G: It’s good to see you, too, Winston, it’s been a while.
W: Not long enough. What are you doing in my office? And what the hell are you doing on my computer?
They develop an 'amusing, frustrated comic chemistry'- Winston feels threatened by Guerera, he didn’t want anything to do with him, but Chance insists they work with him. And Guerera has no respect for his authority, he just waltzes into the office and does what he likes and disregards all his orders, preferring to do his own thing as opposed to being a team player. He’s a wild card, an unpredictable force of nature, so I can see why Winston doesn’t trust him. But their banter is just so funny, and it’s wonderful seeing them work together, even if it’s grudgingly on Winston’s side. Guerera has a lot of fun picking on him, and as much as I love him, it’s funny seeing him get provoked, hee.
It’s also interesting seeing hints of Guerera’s ulterior motives, some other jobs he does on the side that hints his co-operation with their missions is for some other deeper purpose. Chance is the bad guy turned good guy. Guerera is still technically a bad guy, just does whatever benefits him the best, which for now is aiding Chance’s goodwill missions. And Winston wants to make a living but keeps getting screwed over by Chance’s benevolent ways.
Lots of interesting dynamics there, and the character interactions are so fun to watch. The humor in the show is amazing, I nearly bust a rib laughing at some of their antics. It’s a lot like Leverage in some ways, the whole ‘help people who are in trouble, things never go to plan, get in way over their head, make up a plan on the fly and just wing it to the neatly wrapped-up feel-good ending’. ^_^
At least watch the first ep, you guys! It has Tricia Helfer! <3
Also, a ton of other great actors pop up throughout the first season, including Mitch Pileggi (rawrr!), Kristin Lehman (from the lamentably short-lived Killer Instinct), Autumn Reeser (shut up, I liked Taylor, okay?) and Emmanuelle Vaughier! Other familiar sci-fi faces like David Nykl, and one ep even has both Kavan Smith and Christopher Heyerdahl! Just...lots of reasons to WATCH THIS SHOW. *compels you* @.@

Vidspam: LMAO. Emma, omg, ILU. That moment when she turns in outrage, 'Where's my wand, Harry?' and he backs away, 'I don't know!' while she advances on him, 'Harry Potter, you give me my wand!' and he's just tucked it into his pants, 'I don't have it!' *dies laughing*
