Okay, so I was on the bus this afternoon and I overheard these kids talking about how they'd do a school shooting, who they'd kill first and how they'd escape, and where they'd get a gun from. I noticed they were in the uniform of the school mum teaches at, so I sent her a message, thinking that it was probably nothing but I'd really better tell

I think you did the right thing in saying something. It may have been casually said, but even then, that's not something they should be joking about on a bus!
