In my mind girl!Booster always has a miniskirt. The suit did not initially come with a miniskirt, but she realized people noticed her more that way, and, well, since half of Booster's goal at first was to build up a reputation showing a little leg didn't hurt.

And then of course the suit was weakened but the attractiveness ended up being more useful to her than extra strength would have and at that point the whole thing sort of collapsed under its own gender-parableness. And that's why I never wrote it.

I guess this is the part where I show that I really don't get what makes a woman attractive, because I just have to ask how a miniskirt ranks higher on the teh hawt scale than skin-tight spandex. I mean, wouldn't that obscure more? Particularly in regards to the tush, the attractiveness of which absolutely must be universal?

It's mysterious. Yet not.

I agree that Transformers earned its rating, albeit it is an awesome movie and we will probably actually buy it (or maybe just get it TiVod) And I agree that it is not appropriate for young kids. However, all that being said, we must remember that this is the kid who was playing Doom and Halo when he was 5!! Not sure he can even be influenced by gore or violence any longer.

But it's being purchased by the woman who told mom to not let Vicki watch Power Rangers because it was too violent. Anyone else find that interesting?

Y'know, I wish I could say I was surprised to learn this, but I'm really not.

It's not even so much the violence I'm worried about, really, but more of the, ummmmm, other PG-13 stuff. Because it's not exactly subtle. At all.

Oh! Yeah, right. I had actually forgotten about that. You're right - he isn't ready for that. She probably should have stuck with the games. But since it was on his list and she knows about Transformers, I'm sure she thought it was fine. Wonder why Kim let him put it on the list if she had checked it out with you guys? Heavens sake, she wouldn't get him the Warrior books until checking about them with us and they're pretty tame in comparison.

Heh. We were watching and reading way worse than that at a young age (and I don't just mean the violence), but then again, there were very few things our parents wouldn't let us watch. Really, it all depends on a) the parents, and b) the kids.
