I know that my opinion probably means next to nothing to you but I'm going to give it (unwanted or not): I say go. Leaving my parents and close friends in TN for Boston was hard, yes. One of my greatest fears regarding the move was not being able to find friends like those I had in TN; I have to admit, though, that I'm looking forward to the challenge when I start school in a few weeks. I don't know, it seems like challenge and change keep you young and on your feet; I almost feel sorry for people who won't touch change because they actually have to work for something...like happiness in a new environment. I'm rambling, but I don't care; I just got married and moved to a new place, so I feel entitled:) No matter, I say go. Your friends are right: you do have the opportunity of a lifetime (as cliche as that is) and you should take it! If you find you hate AZ then move back. Your friends will still love you and your family, esp your mom, will still be there waiting for you. AND...it's not like you'll never be back to visit;
