on a sunday afternoon

The guy who has his guitar lesson after me is named Robert. Throughout my life I have sort of played a game where I will make it a point to remember some distant person's name. The kind of person I might see every week, but really have no relation to at all. When I see them I like to act like we are old friends... It always takes the other person ( Read more... )

Ahh... the high school years. Those days that were supposed to be the best in one's lifetime, right? Right...? ;)

Yeah, thanks for the reminder about that. :)

I guess I can't say highschool was all bad, all the people and hangout was certainly fun... I just don't feel that there had to be so much work involved with it.

Anway, welcome back from your trip, I had been meaning to comment and hadn't yet... I am jelous of most of the places you got to go in England!

I honestly think I gained nothing from high school, especially the last two years (FYI, our high school goes from grade 8 - 12). I've learnt more being out in the so-called "real world" and through travelling and whatnot and my best job skills have either been learnt on the job and vocational training. I only have one close friend from high school, the rest I either met before or after or are those I consider casual friends or acquaintances. I just wasted at least two years of my life being repressed and treated like dirt so it's no wonder some of us are glad those years are well and truly over.

Anyway, to better news, thanks for the welcome back. I really do count myself lucky to have been able to have gone on my trip and am so glad I got to visit those places. I wish I'd been able to do my Austen Tour though but my next "big" trip is going to be Europe and that requires a LOT of saving! England is worth visiting though, especially Derbyshire (including Chatsworth) and Bath. Which reminds me I promised to share some more photos...

I can't agree more, sometimes I think of going back to school... but I have easily learnt way more by working and travelling than I ever did at school. Everyone has different ways of learning... it is good to hear I have other people that agree with me!

Also, I look forward to seeing more travel photos!

:)

good entry. i'm in sophomore year of high school. i can't honestly say it's brilliant, but i guess it's alright, if you're looking for an abundance of acne and awkward growth stages. :P

:) In my experience acne eventually leaves, but the awkwardness sticks around...
