Swansea open day today. Had a really interesting time, after the usual 'why you should choose our uni' type stuff we got to spend the afternoon doing an actual case scenario, including an anatomy and clinical skills session. Not yet, I sit the UKCAT and GAMSAT in September this year, then the UCAS application deadline is October...so I would be a year behind you I think? I've got revision books and stuff, and some of the questions are pretty scary!
It would be fun if we were in the same class though! :) xx

Nah, you'll be fine :) Have you got any work expereice of any kind? Medicine is big on that, from what I've read. It's the reason I'm working as an auxiliary nurse at the moment (plus I wanted to see if I was cut out for life on the wards!). I'm pretty lucky because Lisa, our house officer, has offered to spend the day with me shadowing her, and she's proised to find some fun stuff for me to do, so hopefully I'll get some time in theatre! Yay!
I'm going to be doing a graduate entry programme (if I get in!), hopefully in Swansea. Would you be doing your med training in Cardiff?
