Wow, my gamer geek co-worker just blurted this news out about 20 minutes ago. Are you bummed?

yeah, i'm pretty bummed. (i was in denial all yesterday)

it's like they cancelled christmas or something! actually, more like if they cancelled St. Patrick's day!
still, i've always loved how everyone in the industry comes to one place for 3 days and you bump into everyone you know and see video game celebs like Kojima (who created the Metal Gear franchise). with the atmosphere being so crazy, it's like grad night at an r-rated disneyland!

I heard this and was sad because Erick and I were planning going next year since he works at Alienware. Blahhhhhh.

while this may seem like a bad thing, perhaps smaller conventions will be even better? while i admit that i don't think the whoopla will be as big (never having been, i don't know), i think that smaller shows would better showcase the products and services offered to the gaming community. perhaps it will be easier for people to see all the products if they don't have to scramble around trying to get to all of them at once right?

I did have a slight emergency in a sushi restaurant last night. A lobster antenna was stuck in the back of my throat and I was vomiting up blood. I'll write about that in a bit :)
