Wow, this sounds really amazing. I like the idea of mixing with people from other artistic backgrounds, the vidding world is rather small and insular, and while that has loads of advantages because it's homey, easily navigated and friendly, it's good to get out of one's backyard once in a while. Looking forward to more reports from the conference.

Yes, indeed, the vidding world is ridiculously small and insular, and although I adore it, I found it refreshing to have some outside engagement and input as well. :) My brain is still ticking so clearly I got a lot out of the con!

So this isn't technically the official write up? You're still processing? I'm glad you had a ball & if you are planning to write something else in more detail, I look forward to reading that too!

And LOL about Brad's series saving the day for you on more than one occasion. In Brad, we trust. :D

Hee, um, it's the sort-of write-up. The next one might be so reflective and introspective it's only of interest to me... I'm not sure! At the moment there are theme-related headings. *wears nerd glasses*

In Brad, we trust.
Indeed!

I'm mostly a fic girl, but there have been... about 4 vids that just blew me out of the water. I'm glad you had fun.

Flip it and you've got me re. fic. ;) But definitely the best of any genre can be impressive I think, and even when something is not really 'your thing' it can be interesting to find out what's out there and just get a sense of all the different and amazingly SPECIFIC things people make! *marvels*

i'm so glad you had a good time! i was worried about academic language and stuff being a bit hard to sit through for two days for the artist/practitioners in attendance, but i think people seemed to enjoy themselves and get something out of it in any case. did you have a good trip back?

Yeah, I think they did! :) It wasn't so terribly offputtingly academic, I thought? I think everyone I spoke to seemed to have found it refreshing or interesting to have this sort of event. One thing I enjoyed was seeing everyone's passion for their subject matter, academic or otherwise.

Yeah, the trip back was pretty cruisey. Got an express train, stuck my headphones on and vidded. Was clearly inspired! ;)

Hope you got better news on your new flat?
