Totally agree with your Vince analysis (and like you, that scene where Vince's dad sees his son with coach? Hah!); and with Tami having misjudged the public lecture (but hey, she tries), and with your concern re: RL sportsmen and sexual assault. Footballers here have similar issues - the genderfail: it is universal. Sigh.
But I am willing to cut Buddy some slack, because he's trying so hard to emulate coach... ;)
Aww, yeah I'm unduly harsh on Buddy... I don't know why. Something about him just prickles me, even though I think he DOES try. I see the intention, I just distrust him. Coach will swat him into line and keep him from total disaster though, I imagine! ;)
I love Vince's storyline this season even better! Totally felt for him having to face his father like that. The man acted like he was entitled to be there, and basically pretended like nothing happened, and it made me see red in the beginning of the episode. And I can get Vincent's mom's self-indulgent reasoning but really, she should've talked to her son before letting her husband in
( ... )
I know, I'm loving Vince's plot so much! :) The scene between him and Eric was amazing and I agree that Tami could learn from it. I have to remind myself though that Eric struggled to begin with with Vince himself, last season.
I don't understand the Julie plot either... I find sometimes I understand and like her and sometimes I do not and she's a bit lost on me at the moment.
