Friday Night Lights 2.13

I almost forgot to watch Friday Night Lights this week. Which was a tragedy because oh, what a fabulous episode! Someone needs to tell the writers: volleyball > murder, yo!

It was SO GOOOOOOOD!

I loved every single thing about this episode. I HAVE NOT ONE COMPLAINT.

About Jason's money -- I'm presuming his cost of living is much much higher than your average person because of his disability?

I wasn't that impressed by the new bf's response--it felt a bit constrained and a bit of a 'pat' reply.

LOL it impressed me, only because I was wondering whether he might flip out about the truth. In fact, for a hardcore Christian nut he was remarkably accepting of Lyla's sordid past. But then, of course, he is a teenage boy and is most likely thinking "WOO HOO I AM TOTALLY GETTING LAID SOON *air punch*".

Oh, I see... yes, that would make sense I guess. He'd have had to use some for a deposit, etc. But surely he knew he'd have to get a job or some other income eventually?

Not much to add but I love your review. Smash's storyline annoyed me last week - I'm from about as far away from Texas as you can get, so MAYBE I can buy the unsubtle racism at the movie theater (except he's hit on white girls before and it's never been an issue), but what really got me was the family dinner. Why on earth would anyone set their kid up like that - or set themselves up for a potential bad reaction from the other parent - unless they were in a tv show trying to maximize drama? But they seem to be doing something good with it so oh well.

I never thought I would like Lyla this much! Though the volleyball scene made me think they might be setting up Tim and Tyra again. Hmm.

Seriously, this show makes me get misty-eyed over football games, cheer-leading competitions, and now dubious car-salesmanship? Scary. ;)

Me neither!

Hmm, interesting... I didn't read it that way but I wouldn't mind if they did really.

I know, it's crazy! It takes everything I'm faintly prejudiced against and makes me love it. :)

And, um, yikes, that's just so wrong...
HA! Yes! But how smashing did he look in that suit?! I would have cheered him on to ANYthing in that! *fans self*

he is one homely little baby ;P
Is she? I'm still at the stage of finding most babies kinda look the same to me and I hadn't noticed. At least she's not as horrendously pudgy as the Chief/Cally baby... now THAT baby is homely!
