Five vids I can't get enough of right now
First up, Big City Life by halcyon_shift is a hypnotic Dark Angel vid. It helps that I like the track a lot, but this was always a show which I thought had a lot of potential and it's great to see someone draw it together in such an attractive way. Ooh, Goodnight Moon was spooky! And it made you excited to watch Heroes? So interesting. My interest is currently waning on this show but I know it can be picked back up.

I really liked this video with its focus on parents and children and the way in Heroes-land things can get well and truly frakked between them. One moment I liked was Claire innocently coloring the homecoming sign while her father watches and then in a later frame, splat, blood sprays across the sign. That's Heroes, all right. I could go on but the relationship between Claire and her father is one that really works for me on the show. Still does.

Funny how a vid about a show can inspire more meta than the show itself!

*nods* The relationship between Claire and Noah is fascinating and I think it's still one of the strongest threads on the show for me. But my interest is waning too... bradcpu's vid reminded me how much I enjoyed season one, but I don't think I'll be rushing to meta season two.

And it's definitely unusual for a vid to inspire me like this--first time ever, in fact. I've had meta-y thinks about many vids but none I've been compelled to write about before. I really needed to write about this one though--it got under my skin. That's talent! ;)

I liked "Goodnight Moon" when I watched it, but what struck me was the imagery and composition--your commentary gave me a whole new level of appreciation for it.

Oh, and just so you know, I am clearly going to have to watch Dark Angel now. I had no idea that show was so fascinating until I watched that vid.

And yeah, Dark Angel IS fascinating. It doesn't necessarily fully deliver on the promise of it's premise, and it's got some flaws but it's also got a lot to like.

I love the BSG ones particularly! I keep watching KC's one over and over again... The Heroes one is good and wayyyyy creepy--yikes.

The Dark Angel one was amazing! The editing was just outstanding. I haven't seen that show in so long (and the vid made me all kinds of nostalgic *g*).

I'm so glad you like the SPN one! Have you seen this Faith one yet? So good!

I've watched the Dark Angel one so many times--I adore it! :-)
And yay, I'm glad you liked these! The Heroes one IS creepy, isn't it? Perfect Halloween material!
