To make a more general love post, I wanna talk about writers in general.

As far as personal writing, I love that it's accepted/encouraged to write something set in Season 1, making the story completely AU but still fun. I love that everything's acceptable - even mpreg and crossdressing.

I love that there are writers who take the mess that is seasons 4 and 5 and still find a way to make Clex work whilst still in canon.

I love that sometimes, Clark can be a hooker, and other times, Lex can be a virgin. I love how we can just start the story that way and no one says "No wait, you can't do that."

I love how we can write futurefic where Clark is Superman and works with Lois in the Daily Planet but he doesn't have to hate Lex.

I love how the setting, Smallville, means that anything can happen. Someone can grow wings, one made of fire and the other made of ice, and no one even bats an eye. Here in the Smallville fandom we don't have crackfic. We have canonI love how countless writers include Lex's love of purple in their fics

Awww! *giggles* This is my favourite post yet. No really!! You are right--there is something very freeing about the Smallville universe. I think it's awesome that you've praised the writers' creativity.

Thanks! I wanted to send a message that even though every author may not get tons of recognition here, they all deserve love for what they do! The Smallville fandom is indeed a kind of freedom. I like how you put it that way.

Don't I know it! I have a MS Word document full of links of stories to read. Also, some of the links are to rec posts, which means tons of fics branching off from there! I never imagined this little fandom could be so huge!!
