Yet another R.I.P. moment

Just found out that Arthur C. Clarke passed away today. Well, technically tomorrow, March 19, 'cause he was in Sri Lanka at the time of his passing.

Damn. Gonna miss that guy.

i grew up reading science fiction in the "Golden Age", when Clarke was one of the Big Three. Heinlein died in 1988, Asimov in 1992... now Clarke is gone.

i met him once, very briefly; i've posted about it in my own LJ
