A Visit to the Doctor

May 02, 2007 00:37

Went in for my physical today. Oh, what fun!

Apparently I am as healthy as a horse, except for a couple of little things. The pesky anaemia, my bendy knee, and my mutant toes.

Oh, yay. )

pure unadulterated fear, updates, feet, knowledge, the flagstone path, anaemia, doctors!

Oh, the number of times I've been tempted to take a hammer to these feet of mine! They already ache whenever the weather changes... what's a little more inconvenience? ;-P

Show me the research, people. ... IIRC, the process of such an injection normally takes *hours*.

Anemia and unusually flexible joints can be symptoms of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, though you probably would have learned by now if you had it or not. I had a friend in high school who had it. Is your skin overly stretchable?

Hmmm, interesting. I'd say my skin is soft, velvety, and pretty damn stretchy. And boy, oh boy, do I bruise easily! The diagnosis doesn't look too likely, but there's some interesting stuff to mention to my doc later on. Thanks for the links!
