Wow. Not a song I've remembered much, but wow.

This makes it more imperative that I watch the boys when they come back to L.A. in June.

That album came out during my highschool years, and was very influential. Some incredibly powerful lyrics on the entire album, but this song really echoed for me from the start.

Been on a massive YouTube walkabout, and found some truly amazing stuff... like the original 8 minute video for Depeche Mode's Blasphemous Rumours. Didn't even know it existed before today. Dark and risky for way back then. Now time for silly WoW parodies before I get too sullen and morose.

Makes sense. For me, Signals was when I was busy being a married young student dad, and so I didn't get much chance to see/hear much from it. "Subdivisions" is about all that hit me back then.

My Zippo lighter still has "The Analog Kid" etched on the face.

I prescribe some Samuel Barber classical music. Adagio for Strings, etc., available on YouTube.

Love that stuff - wish there was more Barber on YouTube. Sigh. Classical music is always a two-edged sword for me - it takes me away to better days, back when I could still play; sometimes the reminder of not being able to play anymore is rough. Nonetheless, music has always been my major tool for emotional expression, and I cannot not listen. Nor would I want to live in a world without it.
