Thanks Nancy! I just washed the thing, and I tell ya, it weighs a ton soaking wet. It's now spread on the bed, with towels and a tarp. And an Emily sprawled on it, too!
I just love the way it turned out, and definitely want to make another one... but I need a break from big knitting projects for a while. I've got scarves and hats to finish for other people - and I get a new pair of mitts!!
Thanks - I just love the design. When I saw the pattern, I knew it was the right one for these particular people. It was designed by a woman who studied early childhood development, the bold stripes and contrasting colours help keep the young'uns entertained as their visual acuity develops.
The colours in the photo are a bit off - the blanket is a deep navy and off-white.
No question on that. Of course, now she's draped across Eniastoa's pillow to dry off. *hee*
She's just annoyed that she can't help with a scarf I'm making for someone who *is* allergic to cats. Somehow she still manages to sneak the occasional whisker into the bag it's in.
We should get together and chat sometime soon. Do you MSN?
