Dean didn't know quite what frostbite was, but he kissed Sam's chubby cheek and squeezed his mittened hands and promised, solemnly, that he would protect Sam from it.

Love Dean wanting to protect Sam from anything, even things he doesn't understand.

Love the gun-family analogy Dean makes.

damn, these are all good. :> the best are the sam and dean ones, with the ways they love each other and need each other and don't always understand each other but keep coming back to each other. and i know some of the triggers but i can't remember what the songs are....

That was always my favourite part of their relationship in canon, I think; that they hurt each other and don't quite get it all the time but stay together despite that. Oh, Winchesters. :D
