I haven't actually read it yet, but I've seen spoilers, so I think I can safely sum it up thusly:

Viewing the spoilers, I've chosen to take the presence of Future!Booster's bad armor as a sign that he works closely with Future!Ted.

Maybe Ted's the one who was born in the future.
