Summary: Not all prisons are bricks and mortar.
The cell door clanged shut behind her, and finally Faith felt like she could relax a fraction. Her second day in prison, her first fight - they’d live, but news of the injuries to all four of them would soon spread. No-one would want to mess with her now.
She didn’t want to run the place. She simply wanted to be left alone to think.
To remember.
To regret.
And here, in this dark and silent isolation wing, she could begin. Settling herself down on the bed, she stared unseeing at the ceiling.
She was alone now.
She deserved to be.
