Thank you again for reading and for your comments. I'm not sure where this story is going to end yet but really like just thinking about the motivations behind the characters. I'm working on chapter nine right now so it'll be up tonight or tomorrow morning. Ta. :-)

Awww, just read your updates and am loving what you're doing with this story - can't wait to find out what Vince has in mind for his 'gesture'. And very glad that he hasn't after all put his clothes on and wobbled off into the street to get knocked down by the traffic or lost in the crowds. You had me worried there for a while. There is hope for them both yet...

Glad you're still reading and enjoying. Vince had me worried for a little while too but I talked him out of doing anything too silly. I've just uploaded chapter 10 and 11 is in the works.

Chapter 10 is genius, it's lovely seeing them work things out. Gary is a star. And the bit about the plan ponies had me laughing out loud - it is absolutely what they would do!

Naw, thanks. I once heard a radio interview with Gary Numan and Noel Fielding in which they discussed the possibility that Gary was Vince's real dad. I've wanted to use Mr Numan in a story since.
And I love plan ponies. :)
