Title: Let's Go Where We're Wanted
Genre: FPS
Pairing: Richmond/OC!Barratt (David)
Words: 200
Rating: G
Disclaimer: I probably don't even own my OC, let alone anything else here.
Notes: For Challenge 18, songs. Due to a comment exchanged with xthursdaynextx I decided to try to write something happy to a Smiths song. I may or may not have succeeded and in the end it's really only loosely inspired by Cemetry Gates. More pertinently, this is a sequel to  my previous Richmond short.

It's the strangest date David's ever been on. If it's even a date. It's hard to tell with Richmond, whether the soft 'oh, hello, David' he gets when he comes round is welcome or tolerance, whether Richmond touching the back of his hand and saying he had lovely metacarpals was a come-on or just gothic fascination with bones.

What was meant to be a short walk with the dog turns into a picnic in the cemetery with Cooper left at home. Richmond looks ridiculous with his black parasol and sunglasses, and must be boiling in the maroon velvet frock coat, but he's beautiful when he smiles and traces the outline of a winged skull on a tombstone. "It seems so unfair," he says.

"What does?"

"Dying when you don't expect it." Richmond looks over his shoulder. "Oh, you've gone all pink," he says like David might have some terminal illness, though he's only blushing. "Here." He wraps an arm round David's waist and covers both of them with the parasol. Richmond smells of cloves and amber and makes David's heart jump. "David?"

"Yes?" Richmond's face is too close.

"I'd quite like to kiss you now."

So, yeah, it's a date.
