I'm glad to be working... it gives me a great sense of pride to be contruibuting to the family and I like being able to get out of the house more. I have no words of wisdom. Things are so hard. And I look across the pond and think how lucky I am that in the UK we are still committed to protecting women over fetuses and that the homophobia and racism is getting worse again but still isn't nearly as bad as it seems to be in America. I think how blessed I am that I'm unlikely to be targeted for violence just because I identify as Pagan. And then I see the hatred that does exist here and how bad the economy is and I feel so depressed about it all.

In fact all I can say is that things are bad but sometimes it helps to vent. And to try and remind myself that all things are cyclical and this depression in so many senses of the word cannot go on forever and that things will move on once more.

You may not have had words of wisdom but you did have some great words of comfort which is much appreciated. really, venting helps a great deal and the fact the people outside the US have seen and acknowledge the utter insanity that is going on in our country is refreshing and comforting in it own way.

I can only hope with the up coming elections over here next year that perhaps it will spur our government to make changes and things may get better. I'm just also hoping that perhaps me starting back to school this winter as I am planing will also help in the long run.

It was awesome of you to take your time to offer me those words of comfort and they are very much appreciated *huggles*
