So I'm blogging Live 8...

Jul 02, 2005 12:46

...might as well admit it. ;) In the future, I'll know exactly where I was and what I was doing, unlike with Live Aid. Heh. Don't worry, friends list; I'll try to keep updating this post for the rest of the day, rather than making a million posts.

If you want to see the BBC's pictures from the event in London, click here.
Updates from the whole day are under the cut. )

If they were that electric and amazing on a tiny little window on my computer screen, I can only imagine what it must have been like for the people at Hyde Park!

Biscuit and I agreed that we have to go get The Wall on DVD now. Heh. :)

St. Bob is still awfully attractive.
Hey Jude made me cry too. Just think a little song written for a friend's son.

I'm watching the U2 rebroadcast now.

(hey it's Saturday - maybe I'll just hang out LJ commenting to Boomtown Rat !)

Feckers and arse! I missed it AGAIN! I caught the last couple of lines of "Unchained Melody". (I've always loved their version of that... in fact, I like it better than the original. I hope no one decides I deserve a thrashing for that comment. *grin*) It was wonderful to see Edge and Adam standing close to Bono as he finished the song.

Well, I'll just have to go back when they have it available song-by-song. And I do have the mp3, which I've yet to listen to because I've been hopping feeds for the last seven and a half hours, hehe.

But yes, Bob is still beautiful to me. I love his hat and his scraggly greying hair! I'm proud to be a southpaw along with him. :) He's one of my favourite people.

I'll be on tonight! :) I'm gonna pop out for about half an hour to get something from the store, but I will be back if you want to have an LJ conversation. :)
