Have you ever been to the Ontario Science Center? I just love that place! I'm also rather fond of the Hockey Hall of Fame, also in Toronto.
And there's no place like Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Or as my mother called it, "Wax Museum Row." ;-D
As for me, I've always been partial to the Skylon. (for those who don't know, that's the tall spire on the far right.) I could see this skyline and the mist from the Falls from an overpass near my house in Clarence, NY 16 miles away.
My son love Tim Horton's coffee. He's going to miss it now that we've moved out of state. (From Clarence to Austin, Texas.)
I'm going to miss the chocolate Tim Bits myself. And we still haven't gotten up the courage to try local pizza. And don't get me started on what they consider wings down here.
If you still have family or friends, you could get them to send you coffee and timbits periodically.
Until I moved to Buffalo, I never tasted a proper croissant. The ones back home are like bricks compared to Timmy's. The coffee is always fresh, even the sandwiches are perfect.
I understand that they're more about barbecue in Texas. Maybe try that. Or find a local place. There's gotta be a local copy of Anchor Bar, right?
This is beautiful. Niagara Falls is kind of a trippy place, you're right.
I go to school in Buffalo, suggest some cool places to go in Toronto, or St. Catherines', if you're at all familiar. I've been to Toronto, but mostly I've explored Chinatown and the streets around it.
Canada's Wonderland, The CN Tower, Ontario Science Center - all in Toronto.
If you go to Niagara Falls in season, you can Park and Ride. You get an all day pass that lets you ride the bus that runs along the river. At the far end is the whirlpool and Spanish Aerocar that goes over the gorge. There's the botanical gardens, too.
And then, of course, there's the casinos. You can't get in unless you're of legal drinking age, which in Canada is 19.
Oh my gosh, the last three times I've been to Toronto, I've been aiming to go to the CN Tower, and getting distracted by other awesome things. This time, I definitely will.
