Really I just want the DVDs so I can finally make _pretty_ versions of the vid plans I have. I have crappy/mid-quality downloads of all of last season, but they look so junky next to my shiny DVD-ripped clips. I have some really awesome vid ideas that _need_ clips from S3....and I'm impatient! I don't wanna wait till frakkin spring of next year to make them!!!

I'm right there with you, hon. I may break and buy the crappy no-extras versions from the UK. I have a UB-centric vid I want to make but I don't want to make it with crappy download files! I want pilot hotness in DVD-rip quality, DAMMIT!!!

You have no idea how many times I've almost done this already. And tried to think of some decent plan to justify buying the US ones too later on (which goes something like "I'll buy the UK ones and rip them, and then I can re-gift them to someone else when I buy the US ones with the extras, but that would have to be to someone with a multi-region player and that narrows the re-gifting pool to my mum, so...drat, I'll just wait!").

Having said that, I'm very excited to see a UB-centric vid from you in half a year or so!

Dude, that totally sucks! I mean, really, most folks who go to singalongs already own the DVDs so, I just don't get how they think this is going to make them more money. Gah.

Also, love the icon! That portion of her having a total toddler hissyfit in the S4 promo always cracks me up when I see it (probably not the reaction they were hoping for, but still, v. intriguing).

I think maybe it ties into that whole public viewing where people have paid to see it part of the copyright laws? Or maybe FOX really is just a bunch of asshats with nothing better to do that disrupt fangirl fun...
