On the joys of Digital Restriction Management

Anyone who's been on the internet for a while knows what DRM is -- Digital "Rights" Management -- and most probably know what a crock it is. My sister buys music online from PureTracks and downloads it, but she can't play it on the digital music player she bought, because the DRM won't let it. Whose rights are being protected here? Hilarity ensues, indeed. How they ever expected DRM to be a good business model, I'll never know.

And you're very right, I haven't seen it explained quite as well before (although I've certainly seen it explained more succinctly :p). Thanks for the link :)
