Pepsi as a headache cure?

I had an absolutely splitting headache yesterday and woke up with it again this morning. I bought another 4head stick, took some ibruprofen (and not irnbruprofen as I first typed - recent visit to Scotland firmly in my mind), and bought some Pepsi. I don't know which of the bits worked best, but the Pepsi seemed to help. Bizarre but true

I think some painkillers have caffeine in them, so the Pepsi might have helped the effects of the ibuprofen.

Or I might just have made that up.

They do indeed - not only does the caffeine perk you up itself, but it does react with the painkiller to help its effects.
