I have a lump under my chin. It hurts when I brush it [1], is about the size of a ten pence piece, is under the surface and can't be seen from the outside (or seen/felt from the inside). It is pretty much equidistant from my jawbone, and appeared out of the blue two or three days ago. Any ideas? I have no other symptoms

It is probably just an accumulation of fluid (or fatty tissue), but you should ask your GP about it, just in case.

Most obvious thought it's it's just a bruise from something weird ...

I hope it's just a bruise or something, but it might be worth getting it checked out.

I saw the beginning of the programme but went to bed - T videoed it for me, though.

Well done on the clutter busting - I need to do more of that.
