Wheeeeeee! This is now really interesting, since my story decided to climax at 38,689 words. Dunno if I'm going to go back in and write filler, or just make a ridiculous epilogue that I know I'll cut most of later. I've just crossed 40K and can maybe get another 3 or 4K before I reach the big "the end", so we'll see what I end up doing. I'm going ( Read more... )

You are doing awesomely! I'm so thrilled for you that you wrote this and pushed through the rough stuff. It seems like it got easier for you?

Hehehe. I quite like her, too.

Yeah, I think it's gotten a bit easier. But like I said, it climaxed way too early (Or in the words of Castle. "Oops! Shot too soon!"), so I don't know how I'm going to pull another 10K out of my butt. ;)

I did that last year with Orion--couldn't write anything beyond like 35K. (And it sucked anyway--or at least, I'm reaaaaally not happy with what I wrote last year.) I used the other 15K to write Rising1 and counted it all toward NaNo. ;)

Can I fudge the rules and write other things and still count it toward word count? 'Cause I wrote 5K of a "deleted scene" for Quest(last year's project) just because I wanted to.
