The Carhullan Army (yes that's it's proper title - non of this amiable Daughters of the North nonesense) by Sarah Hall is set in Britain. There's also Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (sitting on my shelf waiting for me to be brave enough). Oh and Thomas Emson has a book called Skarlet which is really about vampires but of course no one twigs that for ages - it's got a plague spread by drugs.
