Okay, for those you who actually look over my journal occasionally, you may have notice I kinda go crazy when reaction shotting things-in-progress. Oh, totally agreed on groups of more than about eight. I had that problem with the Dragon Corps, actually.

I really, really like that Rook is a full-on bastard, not just a kinda-nice guy who acts like a bastard, you know? (*cough* Much as I loved Balthier in FFXII, I really wanted him to do more bad piratey stuff than he did. Though the bit with demanding the ring rocked.) I really think I picture him as a lot dirtier and scruffier and rougher around the edges than maybe I'm meant to, but I love that about him.

Applying fantasy-logic to the river simile was awesome!

I want to see more of Royston and Adamo interacting SO BAD.

XD Yes. Like, the whole Royston/Hal thing feels to me like I've seen it a bazillion times before, so for that reason (and the lack of plot in the whole book that half of the story) I had trouble staying interesting. But gaaaaah, the Rook and Thom interaction hits SO many of my buttons ( ... )
