September: Oryx and Crake

Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood will be our September book.

The link isn't to endorse Amazon or anything; copies seem to pop up in used bookstores a lot, and here's a list of libraries in Maryland. Begging and borrowing are also encouraged, stealing only if you don't mention my name.

very exciting! I've read several Margaret Atwood's, but not this one and it sounds fascinating.

I think at some point there will have to be a side conversation with people who've read the Handmaid's Tale. There are some interesting paralels.

I couldn't find my copy* so I bought a second copy at a used bookstore last week because I figured someone would want to borrow it. And then I checked it out from the library once Roddy accidentally borrowed it.

*So that's where my copy is! What's the ransom?
