I love that movie so much.

We watched it in a film study class in high school! When it finished, our teacher picked up the box the DVD came in and pretended to "shake all the gay out" of it.

That movie was so much fun to analyze!

Ahahahahaha wonderful story. :D except if i started trying to shake all the gay out of Hitchcock I'd be shaking and baking for days and still wouldn't be done. :DDDDDDD

She was an awesome teacher and she showed me Bladerunner and Psycho for the first time. ♥

I love Bruno and Guy so much, though. Throw Momma From the Train just doesn't quite have the same magic.

Oh! This movie!
I've been meaning to watch it but never got round to it. Thanks for reminding me. Gay serial killers fascinate me too and I see 'Apartment Zero' on your list and wonder why I haven't watched that yet :O

And yes Death Note should be up there too... XD

the way they exchange lighters, the way Bruno keeps touching guy's arm and his wrist or his hand. The way Guy just keeps *looking* at him. Ahhh, it's so. smooth and suave and dfk;ldd;kl Bruno is the most endearing serial killer ever <3

My theory as to how old movies got away with such things in much more conservative times is the same rule you can apply to sexual connotations in kid's entertainment - if they're not looking for it, it just flies right over their heads, and the creators can have a merry chuckle amongst themselves.

Remember He-Man, and Sailor Moon? *waggles eyebrows* Watch those again and they're full of suspect, 'non-child-friendly' innuendo and suspect relationships. But who noticed these things when they were five?

AJA, IT TOOK ME ENTIRELY TOO LONG TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO COMMENT WITH THOSE NEW SYMBOLS INSTEAD OF WORDS. I SUSPECT MY JOKING ABOUT MY BRAIN DAMAGE ISN'T ENTIRELY A JOKE. OR IF IT IS, IT IS ON ME. :o

You're making me want to get out all my old movies and have a movie night much later tonight.

WHAT, WHAT, I AM WRITING AN E-MAIL TO YOU RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT. WHY IS MY WORLD THIS WAY.

It's on my Netflix! I'm stocking up on things I may try to write Yule treats for.

Ahaha really? AWESOME. Seriously, this film, I saw it at the Chrysler Museum's theatre last month and it filled me with all kinds of new love, not that I ever lost any.
