So finally yesterday on my 'favorite character' meme someone guessed the last on my list. 15. Jane Austen.

You have convinced me that it is finally time to put Emma on the reading list as one of the few Austin novels I haven't read. I'd heard varying reports and hadn't gotten around to it, but it sounds like a good thing to do this summer.

OMFG. I LOVE MR. KNIGHTLEY. To a ridiculous extent, actually, and this ENTIRE POST made me flail because kajfaksdj yes. That's it. Favorite Austen man ever.

I like Emma, though I used not to. I cannot really take rereading the book because I cringe at the embarrassing things she does, but she's an incredibly smart, accomplished girl whose best friend has just left her and who has nothing to do. Of course she starts messing around with other people's lives; what else is she going to do with her life, knit?
