Yahoo is shutting down Delicious.com

Yahoo's PR department has all but confirmed.

You can export all your existing bookmarks to html here. After that, ........well.

Diigo lets you import links from delicious and it's free; however its search and tagging functionality are limited, and apparently it "doesn't play nice" with dreamwidth links? eta: not sure what "doesn't play nice" ( Read more... )

WHAT. IS THIS FOR REAL.

Yeah, as far as I know, you can only bookmark AO3 links on AO3.

I AM VERY SAD RIGHT NOW.

Yeah, I am literally devastated. I have no idea what I'm going to do about bookmarking anything now :(

People can find the links in this post useful, too: http://txvoodoo.livejournal.com/1400760.html

repeating here what I said on Dth, just in case (for your readers more than you, obv. *g*), because more redundancy is better than the info not passing far enough:

AO3 allows one to bookmark anywhere, anything. I'm also setting up at Pinboard (because yes, hopping earlier is cheaper) because I WANT secret tags and I WANT the Instapaper and Read it Later integration, and because I've always used my delicious as a personal tool rather than a social one.

Personally, I'm already using Diigo as a fandom bookmarking service. I have never noticed it not playing nice with Dth links so far.
