ia ia fade really freaked me out. i really wasn't expecting the student/teacher thing to be so horrifying. but i also thought all the jane/caleb bits were boring, so overall the book was pretty much just "boring boring boring OH MY GOD HORRIFYING the end."

but i'm gonna read the last one anyway.

You should read Julia Quinn for romance, I adore her books.

So, I know it's old, but have you ever read anything by Francesca Lia Block? I'd love to see you review her Dangerous Angels series, or any of them. She has a book of short stories that are interesting retellings of fairy tales, as well as awesome female characters and GLBT characters.

This is totally unrelated to anything, but I started watching Hikaru No Go partially because I'd seen you rec it so many times and oh my lord. *flails* Could it be any more adorable and hilariously epic? I just can't even. How much Hikaru/Akira fic must there be out there? There must be SO MUCH, right? I can't even go look because I'll get sucked into a neverending pit, won't I? aahhhh.

Very interested to hear what you think of the romance books. I recently tried to read a romance novel (I read mostly if not all YA) and I just couldn't get into it, so I'm thinking maybe I picked the wrong book...
