That is a really interesting point. I can certainly see how writing can be musical. I mean, I think of it as a rhythm and flow thing, which certainly at least interacts with music.
I think I more specifically meant that you have a lovely voice, which is more of a natural good luck thing than experience thing and is harder to connect to writing. Except, I suppose, that if you have a naturally good voice, you'll be more drawn to creating music, which means you'll spend more time thinking about it, which gets us back to the rhythm and flow thing, so, damn. Sort of talked my way out of my own argument there.
LOVELY. I love your vibrato! And the way you give yourself over to the song towards the end. Your start feels a bit hesitant, but the more you sing the more automatically that abandon (and trust in yourself!) will come to you. /brb taking own advice
haha, well, part of the hesitation was due to lol dramatic contrast, and knowing there were people in the apartment next door, and then later, lol, there weren't anymore, so i could let loose a bit more.
thank you! i don't sing pop music very naturally because i've been trained classically my whole life, so really every time sam asks me to record something i am like ...... and try and flail and wonder why i can't sing easy music easily. halfway through yesterday i was like "this is silly i am overthinking" and i downed half a bottle of riesling and tried to relax :DDDD

It's so cool how talented people are often talented in a bunch of unrelated ways.

♥! you are so sweet, thank you so much. I think writing is very musical, though - i think they're more closely related than people think!
(which i think you can probably tell considering we met through composer RPF!
