Just thought that I'd take a few seconds and quickly introduce myself to anyone out there. I'm new to this community. I've run a used and rare shop (with select new tites) for six and a half years, been selling on-line for two (though I have kept the shop open) and have recently branched out into book publishing. Has anyone else made this leap

Time becomes the prime limitation. I'm at the shop 8 hours a day, and editing manuscripts, for the moment at least, another 4 or 5. But I enjoy it immensely.
One of the things we are doing is a series of limited edition hand-bound chapbooks, both pamphlet stitched and cased. I have three bookbinding foundation courses under my belt, and can handle most everything in cloth and paper, though I have not yet moved onto leather (perhaps next year).
We've also thought of starting a series of reprints, and I am considering a few now. But I need to be careful that in my enthusiasm I don't get too carried away: there is much more work to all of this, as there was with bookselling, than I originally thought there would be, and I don't need to get in over my head.
