Back in the day I had awesome gift card fights at my house, where we'd whip them at each other from across the room. Stacks and stacks. Those were the days, those were the days. Now, the company I work for recycles them as gift cards for other purposes. Fun lost, but warm environmental fuzzies slightly restored.

We used to keep all the used gift cards as well! We had a contest amongst ourselves, whoever had the most was the winner for that day. And depending on the various styles collected, there were extra points rewarded. Yep...we were a bored bunch.

I used to keep all my gift cards bundled at my register, but then someone yelled at me for not throwing them away. :/

When I was overseeing a team to set up the stock for a new branch we had several folks trying to stick their head in the door to ask if we were open. Since we weren't even in the actual shop yet (it was on another floor, boarded up because the shopfitters were in) but working out of an empty unit with the shutters down and no signage so it didn't look like anything other than an empty store I don't quite get why they had to ask. Customers are just weird.
