*slightly embarassed* As far as the goodkind cover thing... I many times (before I had bought all of them) would pick up the book and make sure it was the one I needed... I tend to memorize the order of books by cover, then title, then actually looking somewhere for what number it is (bc thats usually inside and whatnot.) The problem with his books is some of the titles are easily confused.
But I wish I had found a place that was selling them for $1. I think I would have bought ones i had anyway, for that price! :)
Exactly! I once found a paperback Terry Pratchett for a dollar. I wasn't completely sure if I had it, but hey, a DOLLAR. (I didn't have it. It was the one where Rincewind and Twoflower confront a menace of a big red star)
I hate it when a customer comes in and says they've been looking for a book for ages and cant find it anywhere - i then present them with both a new and secondhand copy of the book. They then leave without buying either -- wtf is that all about then!
Maybe there are secret Bookstore Cops. They appear through the bit of L-Space caused by any collection of books and make sure the booksellers know their stuff.
I have at least 1 copy of each book if not more. Paperbacks & hardbacks... ideally I want a hardcover set but between moves and boxes in storage lockers, I have no idea exactly what I have anymore :P
