Hey everyone! ^_^ First post here, I think, though I've been lurking a long time. Anyway, I'm going to Nan Desu Kan this upcoming weekend (anime con in Denver, CO.) I needed a costume at the last minute! Also, the director of FMA is going to be at the con, and if you're in costume for that series, you get to go to the photoshoot with him and meet

Okay, first of all. DO NOT GEL YOUR HAIR. PLEASE DO NOT GEL YOUR HAIR. Just mess it up a little bit, but don't gel it. Sheska does not get up in the morning and put gel in her hair. She gets up and reads. Seriously, do not ever use gel in cosplay unless absoloutly nessecary.

I'd suggest classics; look into what books were popular around the 30's and 40's, and maybe put an Amestrian sort of... er, flair on their names. If that makes sense. o_o

Or you could have one with a title like "Guide to Seducing an Automail Mechanic".

XP Well I don't mean lots of gel. I mean like... gel or wax or SOMETHING, because anime bangs don't lay flat like mine do. ;-; (If I don't put SOMETHING in my hair it's going to end up real flat real fast. XP;;) Just like, to make my bangs foof up some. And then just a tiny bit to make my hair stick out some, because otherwise it'll just... lay there, and hers sticks out some. I'm not going for a gelled look, but just for my hair to do a bit of that anime thing that her hair does. XP Just like... make it look a bit messy as hers is. I just normally use a wig, which would be easy to just 'fluff up' for bangs and such, but... my real hair just lays there. XP And hers really doesn't. It's the same kind of thing a friend of mine and I have done on all our wigs for other cosplay, just to foof them up a bit and give them the 'big anime hair' look, and it's turned out really nicely.
