I loved Arthur in this chapter! So sweet in trying to comfort and reach Merlin. Also glad Arthur won't let Nimueh break their bond even more by blaming Merlin and I'm pleased he didn't run for the hills after the magical bonds holding him broke, but instead took a step toward Merlin (literally and figuratively).
Nice new chapter.

I'm thrilled this chapter affected you enough to cause such workplace embarrassment! Thankyou very much. Now quick, say you smelt onion through the window...

That was an amazing chapter! There were so many things that just jumped out at me as amazing and so perfectly them that it almost hurts.
“Please,” Merlin whispered brokenly. “Just - make it quick.”
Oh, Merlin! How I love thee. *cuddles him*
“This is a hug, you idiot, I’m not attacking you!”

Arthur tightened his sore arms around his friend as Merlin buried his face in Arthur’s chest and began to weep in earnest, letting out some of the poison and pain of the past weeks in raw cries that made Arthur’s eyes blur.
It's al that I hoped for and more. Will Merlin and Arthur be talking it all out properly in the next chapter or so?

Yes there will be lots of talking! This is only a little step in the right direction. The boys have a LOT of problems to sort out. I have a few ideas in that direction...
Thanks again! And sorry again that it was a bit late. ;(
