It is laughable to place blame on a secutiry force attempting the calm the situation while a riot goes on around them. Around 150 live rounds were fired at police by loyalist paramilitaries, with the police and army returning six live rounds in defence. Countless numbers of petrol, pipe, and blast bombs were hurled at police and after a week's violence there have been around 80 officers injured, some seriously.

Full agreement. I dunno who the hell they thought they were convincing when they tried to blame it on the police, because not a single person I know even considered it. They think we're blind, apparently, or as insane as they are.

Yeah, the violence and Sectarianism sucks, but it could be worse. It could be the 1970s, for example.

I still think there is something attractive about our country, you know. P'raps after you travel half the world and meet 1000000000000 people, you'll think of ickle Norn Iron differently. I can but hope.
