(although, i swear his first rap was in free your mind. did he just forget about that, or was that not considered a rap?).
YEAH when he said it was his first time rapping i was like, but i remember him rapping in free your mind performance in their 1st concert. lol i guess ppl fergot about it including himself xD
so i wasn't the only one that noticed that. well that's a relief that i wasn't going crazy =P
i have to admit though, the rap in wrong number is much better than his first attempt in free your mind. maybe it's because it wasn't as spectacular that he forgot that was his first time.
Oh he did rap before then? It was during the concert only or it was officially in the album itself too? Since I don't really fancy Free Your Mind, I didn't notice anything.
I remembered Jae rapping for Yunho's part in Rising Sun during their A-Nation 2006 cuase Yunho was injured then and couldn't attend A-Nation.
Perhaps what he did in Free Your Mind and A-Nation is not really considered as official rapping for him?? For Wrong Number's rapping part, he did write it with Yunho.
Thanks for your review..I could say more or less I feel the same way as you but My favourite song gotta be Jaejoong's Forgotten Season. I think I've listen to it at least >200 times since I've first heard it. It's really a simple song but his voice makes it sounds so sorrowful and amazingly beautiful that I couldn't help but get sucked into it the moment I heard it. I think it was love at first "listening" for me.
Imagine, my cousin sister who can't really stand boyband (I know DBSK are really more than just boybands with their immerse talents) and doesn't really like korean song has fallen in love with Forgotten Season and has it played on repeated mode on her player. XD
i totally love it when people unknown to dbsk's music, and that prehate boyband stuff end up totally falling for their music. i can seriously understand why your cousin's sister would end up loving the song. there is seriuosly something seductive about jaejoong's vocals. he's was the reason i ended up falling in love with dbsk. his part in tonight was what totally blew me away. and his remake of forgotten season is no exception. the knows how to sing and draw in more fans.
Unfortunately, she doesn't like all their music, especially the dancy ones but I intend to burn some of their Ballads for her hehe...to slowly brainwash her..
Any good recommendation on which ballads of theirs I should include in?
lol. i can understand why. their dance songs are really pop and boyband-ish. but since she's into ballads, it should be easy to slowly bring her to the "dark side".
thinking about what songs to recommend is really hard. thinking about it now, i've just realized the boys have done so many ballads that i don't even know where to start.
if you want something similar to forgotten season, you should definitely have her hear Insa, Rainy Night, or Kiss shita mama sayonara. those songs have always been tear jerkers for me. Harudal or One(either version) would probably be good as well.
and just because their my favs, Tonight, Hey Girl, and Paradise are wins. they're more r'n'b infused, but she may be interested in hearing them as well.
or maybe a sweeter sounding ballad like Eternal would be good. ahh, see, there's so many!
Hmm... but can Jae's part really be considered a rap? The song sounds like a rock song and I took it as it being just that. Remember the TRAX was featured ^^ I'm listening to it right now as I type this to see if it sounds like a rap to me.
You are talking about that part at 1:45 right? No, I have to say that to me, it doesn't sound like a rap. "It sounds like a rock song" is the best way I can describe it XD I don't know why but all the other parts sound like a rap to me but his part doesn't XDD
ya, that's the part i'm talking about. and i get what your saying. cause when i listented to the song too, his part didn't really sound like a rap. but i did rememebering hearing them talk about that song, and jaejoong's part. i recall them calling it a "shout rap". i guess that's not considered to be the same thing as a rap then.
I'd be lying to you if I said I read all of that X.X too many words. But I loves me some DBSK and Paradise and You're My Melody and Jaejoong and yeahs~ ^_______________________^
and 악녀 is such a sexy song. i reeeeeeeealllly love the backing "dum dum dum dum" parts in the beginning and end. i wish there was more of it so i don't have to keep rewinding to play that section XD
sexy right?! don't you just feel that it's you that the boys are singing about. i can't even pinpoint an absolute favourite in the music of that song. just the whole thing in general is pure awesomeness to me
