Oooh, I can't wait to read Heart shaped box, i've been really excited for it.

I still haven't finished reading The Road... I put it down half-way, and just... eh. Some of the writing really bothers me, the pretentious, supposedly-original-but-really-just-nonsensical metaphors make me want to give up on it completely, but I very rarely stop reading a book, so I guess I'll keep going... eventually.

The Road is actually one I almost stopped reading too-and I never do that either. I kept waiting to find out why the world was that way and never got a satisfying answer....Oprah always seems to pick these depressing books!

*lol* I saw it on some list of "2007's best fiction", and thought it sounded interesting. Plus, it got a Pulitzer, which one would assume means it's well-written. Meh.
Ah well, not all books can be good books. ;)

Heart Shaped box by Joe Hill?

I loved Twilight. I really, really liked it and I was going to post about it :) So expect my review about the saga soon-ish. *g*

I have a LONG to read list this year
Yeah, me too, me too. It's just that the more I try to stick to it, the less I read. Plus, deciding which book to read first gets even more complicated then. Odd, huh? I've decided to forget about the list (although I'm going to keep updating it. Just in case) and read whatever I want. I know, I'm weird.

Yes, by Joe Hill. I loved it...I have only read on Stephen King book (The Shining) so I wasn't really able to compare to him to his Dad, but I loved his style and it was definitely creepy!!

I have a goal of 54 this year (to beat last year by one) and I am reading #42 right now (Breaking Dawn).I have a ton on my shelf to read, once I am done with one, I grab 3 or 4 and read a paragraph or so and then decide which to read. Sometimes it depends on my mood-whether in the mood for horror, crime thriller, chick lit etc.

*hugs* I need to update here SO BAD!
I am horrible...

See? I didn't know he was his son. Had no idea. I just googled him and OMG he looks exactly like his dad! Anyway, I read quite a few books by SK and they are truly creepy and frightening (and I'm not easily scared) so I'll see if I can find this one. I'm intrigued now.

No goal for this girl. Nope! Oooohhh I'm reading Breaking Dawn too. :) Well, actually, I've just took a break from Edward and Bella (I was like 150 pages into the book before I decided for the break) cos I've read the previous books in roughly 4 days. LOL Not that I wasn't enjoying the book. I was. But I was overdosing on E&B and, you know? when *makes vague hand gesture* that thing *makes even more vague hand gesture* happened to Bella, I groaned and thought, "not now. Not again!" and had to stop. And I'm babbling, right? Sorry.

I choose my books according to my moods, too. *g*

You're not horrible. You're a busy woman, a mom and a wife. *hugs*

I really liked Heart Shaped Box! One book I wanted to read by SK was Storm of the Century, after seeing the miniseries, only to do some research and realize, it was not a book, but that he wrote it for TV....was kind of bummed.

I read "Twilight" and "New Moon" one right after the other, then "Eclipse" when it came out-so it's been awhile since I had read the series. I definitely liked "Twilight" the best-and I can totally get needing a break! Bella begins to wear on you-and the things that happen to her.

I am hoping to finish "Breaking Dawn" this week-but not sure what will be after that. I might read "The Woods" which I have had on my shelf for awhile. Have some old ones up there too-like "The Firm".
