The whole marriage thing isn't my thing, but you so TOTALLY made me misty-eyed. :) Great work!

Loved this! Poor, sweet Cas. I could just feel his loneliness as he was lying in his nest with Dean's scent around him but no Dean, dreaming of sharing his nest with Dean and then thinking he got shot down when Dean found out about it. Cas reacted exactly the way I wanted him to when Dean hurt his feelings, he totally disappeared. That's what I would have done in that situation, just refused to be around the person anymore. Anna was awesome as the go-between. Loved the bonding scene and the fact that Dean bought them rings! The feel of Cas' ring on his skin being what set Dean off was so romantic! It also made it more romantic to me that they waited to have sex until the day of their bonding.

I loved the fact that part of Castiel's grace melted into the cabin and repaired it. What a lovely and creative touch. Awesome story. Thank you for writing it!

This is a beautiful story. So descriptive, I knew what the cabin was like inside and outside, the way it felt, the way Dean and Castiel felt... Just gorgeous. I'd been thinking about the whole molting thing for a couple of weeks, so when I came upon your story I felt gratified that it was really mostly the way I thought of it. But, you went even farther. I'd focused upon Dean's fascination with the wings themselves (in my mind), but you carried on with how beautiful the feathers were even dead and dropped. And the pathos of Castiel carefully building his nest while feeling so alone made my throat ache, but that was nothing compared to the hurt of reading about Dean's rejection. I could feel Castiel's pain, there. You made me experience Dean kicking himself, too. The sex scene was more a love scene, which I really appreciated, because anyone can write smut, but not just anyone can convey lust along with love; it's a strange balance I haven't managed myself, so I was impressed. This story should have more comments. Really. ( ... )
