I-... I know  that I've been scarce since- since recently. I suppose I just haven't managed to think of the best way to properly apologize. I said and did many things that I-... that I think we all know I didn't mean. And to those who had never met me prior to that event, I'm truly sorry for such a horrible first impression. I'm afraid you'll have to repeat that again, Miss Granger, I didn't quite catch it.

[You bastard.] You can replay the message, I'm sure.

Oh? You don't feel like... speaking, to me anymore, Miss Granger?

We have nothing to talk about.

And I find it interesting to have found something so... precise. I'm sorry to say that I still find myself somehow lacking in the art of wand-making, but I thank you for your efforts.

It was all I could find from the library, unfortunately. They do not help you either?

They're very interesting, but I'm afraid wand-making is not my forte. I'll arrange another meeting with Negi Springfield and see if he can be of more assistance, though. I don't want your assistance to have been wasted.

Oy! I haven't brought that many back.

[Except he has. Totally.]

... Ron, I can open up my own pastry shop, if I had the inclination or the talent.

Nothing. You're just claiming that you didn't bring very many apples in.

Your words and willingness to rectify the situation prove that you are a kind and responsible person. Do not allow yourself to become burdened with guilt- it was an event, and you were just as much under the influence of it as everyone else.

...having said that, what do you mean by wand lore?

Thank you for that. I'm afraid I can never look at some people without a certain degree of humiliation, but... it's nice to know that people understand.

Essentially, I mean the history and art of wandmaking.

I understand. But it will pass- time, apologies, and explanations heal most bitter feelings left by callous actions. Especially when taking into consideration that nobody was quite themselves. Adstringendum sustained a lot of property damage in this recent event, and there was even a death. Your transgression was almost mild in comparison. Please do not trouble yourself over it.

What are the wands used for?

... I encouraged the destruction. Just because I had no direct hand in it doesn't mean that I wasn't involved.

We use wands to focus and direct our magic. Using magic without wands is much more difficult and occasionally unpredictable.

Wand lore?

[He's curious.]

... yes. The history of it, and the art behind creating one. It's not really the sort of thing one can learn from a book, but it's still interesting.

Do you know the authors? Are the names still intact?

No, I happened to come across the books in an abandoned school; they appeared rather old, and it was only after thumbing through them that I was able to make out that they were about wands at all.
