Attn: Game of Thrones readers!

The novel A Clash of Kings, approximately how many hours did it take you to read? And also, are there any moments halfway to three-quarters into the book where there's a plot twist/game-changer/something that happens that really pulls you into reading more?

I kind of assumed it must, the joke was just too obvious, but -

- WHAT KIND OF HIPPIE-ASS SCHOOL DID YOU GO TO, WOMAN? HOW DO YOU TEACH A CLASS ON A BOARD GAME?

There are multiple classes on board games, actually! This semester, I'm teaching a course on knitting, and a course on Nicolas Cage. Other courses offered this semester include mixology, massage, Irish dance, Doctor Who, and sex. It's the best!

It took ALL THE HOURS THAT EVER WERE. And yet when I was done, I could not wait to start the next book. There is a battle near the end that has some cleverness to it. Tyrion plays an unexpected role, and interesting things begin to happen to Bran.

I am Terrible at giving spoilers, even when requested. but I've moved on to book 3 and am still enjoying it enough to continue forsaking my book club selections.

Lol. That's what I've heard. My plan for Game of Thrones is to give the TV show a try, and if I really fall in love with it, I'll read the books. But I have a hard time with fandoms that are very heavily fantasy or sci-fi--I tend to not like them at all--so I predict it will be a while before I force myself to sit down and try to watch the show.
