Ugh, people. I feel your pain.

Next time people say dumb things I'm going to run over their toes with my scooter.

You need a bumper sticker for that scooter, like my friend Molli has.

"You call them pedestrians, I call them speedbumps"

Of course if WSNTOD wanted to be helpful, she could have made he mob of impatient people wait until you'd reversed your scooter out.

I know it's tiring always being the "educator", but just think, every stupid question you answer means that someone else won't have to answer it.

(btw, there are some scooters that don't seem to have reverse gear - or perhap their drivers haven't found it yet?)

Does it reverse?

Yes. Get behind me and let me show you how.

You could always just carry the business cards from the company you got the scooter from and just hand out the cards.

Just smile and say, 'I get asked so many questions about the scooter, you can call this number'

I am disabled as well. And since I will someday need a scooter I have asked people about their scooters in the past.

She probably feels quite proud that she is so comfy about disabilities that she can happily engage you in conversation about the scooter. :/

I like the idea of giving people business cards for the scooter company. It makes a very, very clear point.
