My art journal and I are still active. I recently started watching a community called lj_top15_noncyr and it's a great way to find still active users and communities, which is how I found your LJ :-) HTH!

Facebook booted me and wants my real information so I am back to LJ... A few weeks of posting and I got one interaction lol... But it is still fine for a daily organizing of my latest thoughts and if anyone wants to get a hold of me... They just need to make a free LJ account. I tried other replacements to Facebook and they are worse... No interactions at all lol.

LJ is still pretty handy for a lot of things, even if they seem mundane. It's a simple enough system that works for remembering stuff.

I'm not sure there's an LJ replacement either.

Most of my old LJ friends are gone. But I soldier on, not caring. I just write for me :)

I agree that there has to be an internal drive to journal, but if we weren't interested in some interactions, we probably would be doing this off line or on paper.
